I'm Jacks, the founder of Move and Melt, and your Scottish-American guide to finding balance in life. This space is all about knowing when to move and when to melt—when to lean into action and when to soften into surrender. Through yoga, meditation, and holistic practices, I’m here to help you tap into your own inner rhythm and live in alignment with your authentic self.
Back in 2019, my life was a constant swing between doing too much or nothing at all. I was either chasing productivity or completely overwhelmed by it. That year, something shifted. Yoga, meditation, and deep self-inquiry helped me understand that the key isn’t in always doing or in always resting—it’s in knowing when to do each. I learned to embrace the duality of life, the wisdom that comes from recognizing when it’s time to push forward and when it’s time to pause.
Move and Melt was born from this understanding. It’s a space for those who feel the tug between movement and stillness, for those who want to do more than just "get through the day." Here, we explore creative Yin Yoga flows, breathwork & meditative practices, Yoga Nidra, and transformative retreats designed to help you cultivate that same inner wisdom. Whether you need to find your edge or soften into stillness, you’ll learn to trust yourself and lean into what’s right for you in each moment.
Through our retreats, teacher trainings, and workshop experiences, my goal is to help you melt away the stress and noise of everyday life and reconnect with the deeper parts of yourself. I love watching people realize that their power lies not in pushing harder but in knowing how to balance effort and ease—on and off the mat.
